About Us and When We Meet

We believe in "Teaching, sharing and promoting the art
of wood carving"
so please come visit us at the shop
and especially at our annual show where you will
witness some truly awesome pieces of art.

A LITTLE HISTORY

In 1973, Livermore, CA. was the home of a small gathering of
carvers. Group functions were held in "The Barn" at that time. In
1977 things had changed and finances became a factor. The growing
membership moved to Pleasanton, CA. We were the fifth group to
join the now thriving California Carvers Guild.

Our business meetings are held on the second Saturday of
each month at the Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd.

From 9:00 am to 10:00 am is the drop in carving.
From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm is the business meeting.

Often before the business meeting we share in mini workshops, we
work on our own projects and share ideas. We also watch videos and
demonstrations or listen to guest speakers. All of which provides the
opportunity to learn exciting new things from each other.

Everyone is welcome to visit this drop-in group, whether a
current woodcarver, pyrographer, wanna be woodcarver or just plain
curious. We believe woodcarving to be a fun, rewarding hobby and
look forward to sharing it with you.

Thank You~
